      Typography

Continental uses a variety of fonts. The Continental Stag Sans company font is used in image-building and advertising productions/media. This font is intended to communicate the strength, competence and modernity of the brand while at the same time drawing attention to the header lines, without diverting it from the content. Other fonts used are Arial in MS Office applications and Nimbus Global as an internationally recommended alternative font.

Nimbus Sans Global – alternative font for different writing systems

For text that uses characters that are unavailable in our corporate font, we use the Nimbus Global font. This allows us, for example, to reproduce Chinese, Japanese or Korean texts in their entirety. Additional spacing is required when using the Nimbus Chinese character set. Dos & Don’ts

You don’t actually need many rules to create an easily readable document with our fonts. But here too there are exceptions – the font should not be changed retrospectively. A playful style does not suit our brand.

Character spacing must not be too large.

Character spacing must not be too narrow.

      Never expand the font.

      Do not compress the font.

      Do not slant the typography.

Do not use any other fonts.

      Do not distort the typography.
