Colors

Using color in a consistent way reinforces our brand and fosters trust and recognition. However, according to the requirements of a highly structured information architecture and the need to give adequately varied visual signals, the color palette for the Continental corporate platform has been expanded by (electronic media-exclusive) gradients of the existing brand colors.

Primary colors

Continental Yellow, Continental Black and Continental White are the primary colors.

Continental Yellow is the color of highest attention. It is used for the quality seal, call-to-action elements, “preferred” buttons and high priority links on white background

Continental Yellow Link Adaption is a gradation of the Continental Yellow used for links on light gray backgrounds and highlights in navigation link lists.

Continental Black is used mainly for text that is not interactive: Headlines, subheads, lists and copies.

Continental White is used for the margin, for the main navigation header and for background elements smaller than page size. It may also be used if typography or other elements need to be inverted for legibility.

Secondary colors

The secondary colors are used for various purposes as grayed-out copies, links, lines and backgrounds. Lines and backgrounds must always be as light as possible in order to preserve the airy look of the Continental corporate platform.

Accent colors

The accent colors are used for labels, highlights and notifications. In notifications the Red color scheme is used for alerts and errors while the Dark Blue color scheme is used for status and success notifications.
